optional delay: number | (attempt) => number

Delay in milliseconds before the next retry, or a function that receives the current attempt number and returns the delay (for exponential backoff, etc.).

maxRetries {#maxretries}

maxRetries: number

Maximum number of retry attempts before the run is marked with dead-letter status. Must be >= 0.
